Macris School staff, personnel, and representatives are committed to being vigilant through its policies and procedures to preserving children students’ mental, emotional, and physical health and safety to ensure their integral development by protecting them from threats, risks, violence, and harm committed by themselves or third persons and taking appropriate action upon validated reports of the aforementioned.
All school employees are required to report alleged violations. Reports can be made anonymously. Every reported act of bullying or harassment will be investigated and parents will be informed of the outcome.
ABC - Anti-Bullying Club
Formed in 2013, the Anti-Bullying Club (ABC) is a student-run group, supervised by a guidance counselor whose role is to help build an environment of trust and care among students through the implementation positive relationship building activities. We believe that the purpose of schooling is to create a safe and positive environment, conducive to learning, in which students develop the knowledge, competencies, and values necessary to be contributing members of their community. This is made possible only with the efforts of all community members striving to provide a safe learning space. Macris School prides itself in being an affiliate of the Cool 2 to Be Kind organization.
