Macris excels in ABSH Math Olympics & Bowl (Results)
Last Friday 5th and Saturday 6th of April, the two mathematics competitions of the Association of Bilingual Schools of Honduras (ABSH) called Math Olympics and Math Bowl respectively were held. These competitions took place in Palmeras School in the city of La Ceiba where 21 of our students competed in different categories.
Macris was crowned again the winner of the ABSH Math Olympics, achieving an unbelievable Perfect Score in all 7 categories of the competition that comprises from 7th to 12th grade. It should be noted how amazing and extraordinary this result of 7 perfect teams is, since only Macris School in 2010 and 2015 has achieved it before, with no other school in the country ever obtaining this feat.
We are very proud of our students who added another milestone to our unmatched historical record of 16 wins in the previous 17 editions of the tournament.
In a very close 3rd edition of the ABSH Math Bowl, our three teams achieved a very honorable and outstanding 2nd place in the 3 categories of the competition that lasted almost 14 hours.
In the Math Bowl it is noteworthy that Macris for the second year in a row reached the final round in all the categories, being the only school that has been in the 6 final rounds of the last two Math Bowls and also the only ones we have participated in, of the 9 finals of the entire history of the event.
Again, congratulations to our students, they are true champions! We are very proud of you for both triumphs, and especially for your dedication and passion for mathematics.
We dedicate these achievements to God!
