
Macris wins 1st place in Math Relay/Math Counts 2020
MACRIS SCHOOL IS NAMED CENTRAL AMERICAN CHAMPIONS IN MATHEMATICS!
Our Mathematics Club stood out with excellence in Central American bilingual school competitions: Math Relay / Math Counts 2020.
Our team of Mathematics Club participants traveled to represent us in El Salvador, where after two days of competitions they obtained:
- FIRST PLACE (Macris – Team A) in the Math Relay competition among 41 teams
- Members: Leonardo Murillo, Max Girón, Marco López, Carmen Murillo, Augusto Valentín and Omar Suazo
- FIRST PLACE (Omar Suazo – 8th grade) in the Math Counts competition, among more than 200 students
- THIRD PLACE (Macris – Team A) in the Math Counts competition
- Members: Marco López, Augusto Valentín, Max Girón, and Omar Suazo

Competition Details
- 6 countries with representation: Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, and El Salvador
- 21 schools participating in Math Relay / Math Counts 2020 competitions
- 41 teams participating in Math Relay competition
- +200 students participating in Math Counts competition
